Ardrahan
is a washed rind, semi-soft cheese. Hand made using traditional
cheesemaking methods, it has a creamy nutty flavor similar in some
respects to a Swiss Appenzeller. Ardrahan is made exlcusively on the Burns
family farm in Duhallow - a region in Southern Ireland reputed for its
clean environment and rich pastures. Ardrahan has won many awards, with
the judges repeatedly finding it to be a complex, flavorful and zesty
cheese. |
